Matthew Cardente has practiced commercial brokerage for over twenty years in the State of Maine and for fifteen years in the State of New Hampshire. A CCIM Candidate, Matthew Cardente specializes in Commercial Investment sales & portfolio acquisitions, 1031 Exchanges, Tenant Representation for local, regional, & national franchises, business brokerage, and the sale and leasing of retail, office and industrial properties throughout Northern New England.
Matthew founded Cardente Real Estate in 2005 to provide clients and customers with a better alternative to their real estate needs. Celebrating it's fifteen-year anniversary in 2020, CRE has become one of the leading commercial real estate firms in Northern New England.
In 2006, Matt founded Cardente Property Management; a full service commercial property management company managing properties throughout the State of Maine.
In 2019, Mr. Cardente obtained his State of Maine Auctioneer license and started Old Port Auctions. This company offers auction services for real estate, all types of art & collectibles, estate sales, equipment, and many other items.
From 2009-2010, Mr. Cardente was the President of the Maine Commercial Association of Realtors and in years prior, Matthew was the Vice President of the Maine Commercial Association of Realtors, on the Maine Commercial Real Estate Board of Directors, and was one of the original Board Members for the New Commercial Property Exchange. In 2008, Mr. Cardente was voted Maine Commercial Realtor of the Year.
A Member of the Forbes Real Estate Council since 2018, Mr. Cardente actively contributes to various regional and national commercial real estate periodicals and forums. Mr. Cardente is Maine Notary Public and has officiated twelve marriages since 2003.
In the past, Matthew has volunteered as a mentor for the Longfellow School in Portland, as a Wish Volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, was member of the Yarmouth Zoning Board of Appeals, and was on the Board of Trustees for Maine Preservation.
Mr. Cardente obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College in 2001. Cardente was the Student College President and a class speaker at graduation.
